I'm stuck!

I had a terrible experience this morning. My little catty heart is still beating fast. I'll have to have a nap in the sun, soon.

I left my human's room and went for a wander. One of the rooms I can't normally get into had the door open.
I went into this room. It has a nice, soft bed, so I like to sleep on it when I can.

I was just sniffing around the bed, when the door slammed closed.
I jumped and my tail puffed out.

I don't like being shut in, so - even though I'd been thinking about having a nap - I panicked. I wanted to get out of the room quickly.

I went to the door and pawed and pawed at it.

I couldn't hear my human coming, so I started to claw it instead of just pawing it.

When this didn't work, I started meowing. I tried my 'feed me' meow at first, but panic turned this into a 'please rescue me' meow.

I began to think that I might die in the room - that my end might come.
I meowed my little catty lungs out.

Eventually, after what seemed like 5,000 catty years, my human came along, opened the door, and I ran out - tail held high - with an 'unhappy' meow, to let him know I was annoyed and that I'd narrowly avoided death.

I am now recovering. A nap and eating a butterfly will help me.

Staring at things

I have decided that sunshine makes me less bothered about things.

I was wandering my territory today, when I heard a rustling under some plants. I stared at the plants, my little catty ears went forward, my head darted left and right.
I sat there for (I think) 5 catty hours... and the rustling turned out to be the breeze. I didn't mind though.

After that, I went and sat in front of a fence, and stared at it for a bit.
Then I had a nap in some daffodils.

I like the sun.

Stop it, human!

My human does this thing that I really wish he didn't.

I'll be walking along, minding my own business, and he'll come up to me, shouting 'oooh, you're shoooo cute!' (I'm not sure what this means), then lift me from the floor with my legs dangling in the air.

He'll then scoop me into his arms, hold me close to him, squeeze me, and say things in a silly, high-pitch voice.

Sometimes this is nice for a bit - I'll purr and let him tickle my chin. Most of the time, I just want to get down and have him stop making such a fuss.
I'll make my eyes go wide and I'll wriggle and wriggle in his arms, asking to be put back down.
Sometimes he holds me tighter and makes 'mwah' noises on my little catty head - silly human.
Eventually he puts me down though.

Sometimes he grabs me when I'm having a nap. I'm usually half asleep and happy to rest my paws and chin on him for a bit ... but I still don't want to be off the floor too long.

Occasionally I sense, in advance, that my human is in the mood to pick me up, so I run off as he approaches.

I wish he wouldn't do it though, and that I didn't have to squirm - I prefer it on the floor. Silly creature.

Energy

I just came inside and was very excited.

I ran across one room, meowed, ran in to see my human, tumbled over, bit my leg (it was annoying me), stared at my human, meowed, then ran outside again.

I like spring. It's fun.

Food tasting

It has been a very tricky day, full of tough decisions, but I have come to the following conclusions:

Butterflies taste better than moths.

Ants lack flavour.

The smaller, fatter spiders are a bit sweeter than the big, skinny ones.

Bees are easier to swat than wasps.

I fancy some tuna now.

Annoying human

I was having a lovely sleep by the window, in the sun, yesterday... when my human came over.

He tickled my chin. Nice.

He stroked the side of my face. Yes please.

He scratched my ears. Mmmmmm...

He tried to tickle my belly. Small bunny kick.

He went back to stroking my face. Better.

...then he decided to tickle my nose. This was quite nice, but my little catty nose is sensitive.
He tickled my nose and I did a big catty-choo...

...then another catty-choo.

Then another catty-choo.

Then another catty-choo.

I was wide awake now.

I had to get up, stretch, yawn, shake my head to get rid of the catty-choos, then curl up on a different windowsill, with my tail wrapped round my nose.

Annoying human.

Food and company

I wish my human would understand - I like to have company while I eat.

If he puts out my food and walks away, I'll lick some of it, but then I'll start to worry and wonder where he's gone.
I get anxious, can't finish what's in the bowl, and have to go looking for him.

I need him to stay with me while I eat.

If he puts my food out, then stands next to me, I'll eat all of it, purr loudly, and swish my tail, checking to see if he's there, every so often.

If he starts to walk away, I'll meow, run up to him, and lead him back to my bowl.

It's very important for my peace of catty mind that he's present when I eat food.
